Unknown door switch

Thor 2023 Outlaw 38KB. I have a door switch on the bay where the shore power cord and cable TV plugs in. It is a push pin switch like the old car door curtesy light switch. The single wire color is red or pink with white stripe and has 12 volt power. There is no light in this bay, so it's not for a light. I tried to follow the wire, but it exit the bay and goes into a bundle. This is the only door that has a switch. Please see the pictures and if you know what the switch activates. Thanks, Greg

Only a guess: look at your dash with engine running and the door open. Is there a warning light? Write Thor customer care. They have always provided me with answers.

I checked the dash for a warning light, engine running and in drive, with the bay door open with shore power on and shore power off. No warning light. There is nothing in that bay except for the transfer switch and the plugs for shore power and cable TV and no bay light. I even checked the high outside light above the water bay.

I guess I'll have to contact Thor and see if they can answer what the switch is for.

I contacted Thor Customer Service and they said the switch is for: "That should be for your extra fuel cell in the coach. if the door is open, you are not able to use the fuel fill up."

I guess that since the AC\DC power transfer switch and the shore power plug could cause a spark when using the gas fueling station is why there is this switch. The fueling bay is 2 bays away from the electrical bay.

What's an "AC/DC power transfer switch"?

Sorry, it should be shore power & generator transfer switch.

You should log into https://www.thormotorcoach.com/owners/ and get the drawings for your rig. Wiring diagrams are part of the documents and would have answered this for you.

Looks like an alarm pin switch bonnet. Like used to trigger something. Used them for car alarms for trunk and hood

Never seen one install in a thor by factory

Same in my Outlaw. It disables the fuel transfer pump when the electric bay door is open.
