Vegas/Axis E350 Problem Alert

See this posting:

http://www.thorforums.com/forums/f8/...rive-2308.html

Ford Motor Home tech support referred me to a local Ford dealer for the repair.

I live out in no-where land and I was surprised to find out that they already had a Vegas/Axis in for this problem.

Bruce

I will be interested if this is a Ford warrantee issue. One issue that has bothered me (don't ask the question if you can't stand the answer) is what the warrantee is on the drive shaft and rear end. I understand that Thor replaced the drive shaft when they built the 2014 Axis to change the wheelbase. At least one or two people in the forum have had them replaced. Does the drive shaft replacement change the drive train warrantee to one year? Is the rear end warrantee still Ford's. I have 25000 miles on my Vegas, many of them hard, dirt roads and every once in a great while I get some noise out of the back end when I am making a sharp right or left turn from a dead stop.

Thinking about this some more Bruce, thus certainly is a safety recall issue. Especially if you know of two Vegas/Axis with the same problem. You might think about alerting the NHTSA, 1200 New Jersey Avenue, SE, West Building Washington DC 20590 USA 1.888.327.4236.
Their website is safercar.gov and you can send them an alert from that website. This looks like something that could easily cause a crash and get someone hurt or killed.
