In Dash Media Suggestions

Hi folks I’m new to the whole RV’n scene.... and as I get used to our coach I’m sure I’ll have plenty of questions. Thanks in advance for any input.

Our 2019 Miramar has the Axxera avm111navlh in dash multi
Media center. However I don’t find it to be too user friendly, and somewhat cluncky (for lack of a better word). It also doesn’t not have satellite radio.

The one thing I do like is that t projects thebmirror cameras when you engage the turn signal.

That being said - do any of you have aftermarket suggestions that you may have installed?

I’d be interested to know what pioneer you installed. Does it allow for the rear camera to be on when driving ? How’s the HPS etc ?

You can see the Piioneer I have in my signature. I had the cameras run through switches outside the radio. I found the turn signal activation distracting.

I love that the rear camera view is reticulated. It helps to monitor distance.

The model I have does not have GPS. I prefer my Garmin RV 760 mounted on the dash in my view o I don’t have to take my eyes off the road.

I find the turn signal engagement to be good when changing lanes butnit frustrates me that it cuts the audio out when it’s engaged.

I will look up that model - on the other adds you have.... was the swaybar well worth it !

Our Freedom Elite had an Axxerra AVM70. Replaced it with a Kenwood DDX375BT.
It is SiriusXM capable with a plug-in module. Rear view camera is selectable at any time.

Since I have a toad, the beefier swayer was well with it.

how do you guys get the ford dash out? i cant get the one piece that surrounds the radio off; the steering / shifter column keeps getting in the way.

I called Crutchfield. They will sell you directions on how to access the radio. They include instructions on what parts to remove or loosen. Even at that, the shifter makes it difficult, but possible, to get the old radio out and the new one in.
