I'm having 5 redone.
I'm going to try conditioner too hopefully save the rest from cracking.
GOod luck with the conditioner. Can't hurt. An upholsterer told me thay put a plastic over the pleather to protect it and the plastic cracks and peels letting the underneath fabric to disintegrate. Ongoing problem We redid ours with an nice rugged cloth.

So this is what part of it looks like.
Couldn't get a perfect match.
I think the older vinyl darkened over time.

There are no kids, pets or endangered wild animals secretly kept. I'm very disappointed in the quality. The pictures don't show the smaller cracked and flaking areas. There is no way I can trade this on a new RV without taking a huge loss. Anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?
Enlarging the pics shows them properly. I don't know why they post cattywompus.
Thor uses cheap, Chinese vinyl the know will last thru the warranty. I got my entire captains chairs and dinette seating recovered with REAL AMERICAN vinyl. Cost a little under $1500, but worth every penny.

Not just Thor. Pretty much all of the manufacturers use the cheap stuff. My Newmar’s seats began failing within 6 months of purchase.

Yup, we just replaced out recliner set, same issue on a 2015, and the recliner was replaced before we bought this coach in 2021. Some other seats are showing minor but same issue. Me personally, I think that the material being "not leather" has an issue with sun, body oils, sun screen, and just general wear and tear weakness. We use armoral detailer to clean often. Not sure that it helps with extending the life of material, but sure cannot hurt. And, of course, curtains closed while in storage.

My 2014 Palazzo 36.1 has a similar problem I have been told that RVs from 2012 to 2017 have the problem and the seat manufacturer nor RV company will do anything about it is all I have heard. I have a quote of $2000 to recover the jack knife couch and the dinette bay. I already paid $1000 for the front driver & passenger seats. We never used either one and always kept them covered. I have a set of the driver/passenger seat covers from Camping World that didn't fit for sale if anyone is interested.

My four year old RecPro queen soft vinyl covered recliners are pealing. I am going to replace them with fabric covering. Strangely enough the dinette and captain chairs are fine.
