Another Axxera question
First let me start by saying how great it is to be out of the house and in our ACE 29.4 again. State Parks in Southern Mississippi just re-opened and we booked a lakeside spot for a week. First time towing my Jeep JKU (with two fishing kayaks on top) and everything worked perfectly., but this leads to my question. On my Axxera (2018 ACE 29.4) my wife figured out how to get the rear view camera to remain on so I can keep my eye on the Jeep/kayaks with no effect on radio, but every time I hit a turn signal and the camera activates it returns to the radio screen, as opposed to the rear camera view where it started.. Any idea how to resolve this?
Also’ I believe I understand this but just to be sure. The dash Axxera radio runs of the house batteries. This is why it doesn’t work unless the use/run switch is on. Any idea why it is set up this way, maybe just for use while parked so you don’t run down your chassis battery?
Thanks for any help. Safe travels all.

Yep, you guessed it.
There MAY be a firmware update on the Axxera website that MAY resolve your camera issue.

In my my signature thread, somewhere, are pictures of my overhead monitors. 65 bucks each, the cameras now are on all the time. The backup camera is always on and the delay the turn signals cause is gone.
A side affect is now if I have a turn signal on and I tap the brakes, it automatically switches to the rear view camera while my brakes are on. It's nice at a stop light turn lane.
I just did away with the radio as camera monitor.

I called Axxera and they sent me an update. That took care of the issue.
The radio runs off the house batteries. It made sense to me. If it ran off the chassis battery you would need to have the key in the axu position. Or that’s what I thought anyway.

And I agree with you on getting out. We leave on Monday for a week in Galveston. Last weekend we were in LaGrange. I am putting the meals menu together as we speak. I really like doing that planning. I know.... I need professional help.
