Water leaking down hot water low point drain

I have a 2014 Thor Hurricane 32N. When I hook up to city water, water drips quite a bit down the outside of the hot water low point drain from up above.

I used to think it only happened when the campground water pressure was high, but this last trip my regulator was set below 40 and it still leaked and leaked so badly at times that we turned off the water supply when we did not need it.

I cannot figure out how to access wherever the line goes up into the RV to see if there is a seal or loose connection or something like that.

Does anyone know how to access it? You cannot see where it goes from the outside access point (where you would open and close it). I assume it connects to the hot water heater somehow but cannot figure out what to remove to get access to see any of it. Do I access it from up under the slide out somehow?

Thanks

If your coach is anything like mine, you are going to have to begin your hunt inside of the RV. Behind whatever cabinet is near your water heater. Some deconstruction may be required.

The water heater on my Newmar leaked quite a bit and it turned out that the electric heating element was not screwed in tightly. It was very difficult to get access and I ended up removing and reinstalling the entire unit. Sounds dramatic but actually pretty simple.

Very true! And, be mindfull...where the water runs out may not be directly under the leak. It could be a few feet away and gravitating to this area. Get a couple boxes of bandaids before you start.

Maybe a case of bandaids.
