General RV now reporting from Ford that diagnosis is condensation lines are freezing up and causing the aftermarket (Thor part I assume) evaporator case condensation to build up and leak on the floor in the cab.

Next step is they are having an independent Ford expert to inspect and advise.

That image is unreadable. The links provided above work and downloads the PDF to your PC.

Did either the Ford garage or General RV offer to put a headset on the AC system to check pressures?

I will have to ask. It is now at FX Truck Repair.

https://fxtruckcenter.com/

What would that tell us...check for freon leak?

Can't "expand with your fingers" on a PC.

Here's your attachment pic expanded 200% - still not readable. I fixed that for you in my previous post.

The Ford report says....

C/s lines off ac Condenser are freezing over causing water leak behind dash on driver and passenger side.

Water due to condensation building up on aftermarket evaporator case causing water to drip on to the floor.

There is also Check Engine Light on according to my FordPass app that says the power train control module received a barometric pressure reading outside of expected values.

Looking on line 1 cause may be moisture!

Not sure where the PTCM is located on the F53 and if even related or a secondary issue.

Welcome any further comments.

Does anyone know if the expansion valve could be a potential cause for these conditions of lines freezing and condensation building up on the evaporator case housing...then dripping.

Final opinion from FX Truck Center where General RV took the ACE to, after 3 days, was that the system was Overcharged with Freon causing freeze up......they evacuated the system and recharged it and claim it is okay now.....any AC experts on the forum to agree or disagree with that assessment?

Usually it's an undercharged system or low air flow that causes freeze-up. Maybe go to U-Tube University to verify? Or a simple Google search.

I’m not an expert but that is why I asked if anyone put a headset on it to check pressure. Yes, overcharge will cause this. Take it out and try it.

Thanks....I am questioning the theory that overcharged system causes freeze up. Evidence seems to say undercharged causes freeze up.

I also spoke with Thor Technical Support who was dubious as well.

Overcharge or undercharged, does it drip on the floor anymore?
