What do you think of Challenger 37KT?

Close to pulling the trigger of upgrading from a Jayco Precept to a Challenger 37KT. Would love to hear from other owners of a 37KT about their thoughts of the coach, any issues, or things they recommend before we drive it off the lot. Our Precept has been okay but lacks any privacy when having overnight guests, so the 37Kt seems to be a good solution without spending big $s. Thanks for any suggestions, or recommendations you can provide.

We have the 36TL since last fall. Of course it has had some issues. Nothing major. I like the layout of the KT. It is similar to the TL. We ultimately went for the TL because it had a slightly bigger open area and longer couch for our boys.

Not sure you have seen it or not, but here is a link to the thread that has almost anything you want to know about Challenger. http://Love our Challenger<br /> <br...9&share_type=t

It's probably worth you throwing your question on there as well.

greenfield3 - the Challenger is a great coach. We have the 37TB and after 31,000 miles in 24 months, we still love it. The KT answer a need/like that we have - extra room in the front of the coach for just hanging out. Comparing the Precept to the KT, you will enjoy the basement storage and on board water (fresh, grey and black) storage.

Relative to overnight guests (for us grandkids), a bath and a half is nice adder. We've met other owners that enjoy the LX for just that reason. BUT you give up that added room with opposed sliders.

As oldgold mentioned, lots of puts and takes over at Love Our Challenger thread.

We still consider our Challenger a high end coach in the gasser community.

A couple years ago we looked for upgrade to replace our 33 ft Damon Daybreak. Finally settled on 15 KT mainly because of the floorplan and have never regretted it. Went full time about a year ago and still loving it. Once full time we decided to look at DP's. We finally gave up. There was nothing that came close to our wish list made up from our Challenger features: two awnings, curb side dine table and big window, theater or recliner seating across from TV, table up front for alternate dining and seperate his and her computer/work/project areas, no split level floor in bedroom, awnings that do not block view and no carpet in kitchen. We had our share of new build problems but nothing major. The Ford part of the package has been excellent. With the added Five Star tune we can pass trucks in the Rockies and that is towing a Ford Fiesta. When ready to PDI ask here if a Challenger owner is nearby and willing to help out. Many changes - for the better - have been made since 2015.

Spot on

Spot on. Like Chuck says, will you have some problems? Yep - you'll have them with any coach. But at the end of the day do yourself a favor, write down a list of features that the Challenger has from day one. Prioritize the list based on how you believe you'll use your coach. Now find other coaches (DP or Gasser) that has the same list. I'll make you a bet, if (big if) you find a coach with the same sort of features - you'll pay at least $150,000 more. For us, the only coach that come closes to our 37TB coach is the Winnebago Forza 38W. Even then we give up 15 gallons of grey water - a big deal when you dry camp for 2-3 months per year.

Anyways - good luck with your hunt.
