The ready brake seems great but the cable would interfere with my steering column on Kia Soul

We had a BlueOx AutoStop installed initially - it sounds similar to the ReadyBrake. Gotta say after a descent into Ten Sleep, Wy form Buffalo, Wy I renamed the BlueOx AutoStop to Autojunk. It just didn't get the job done and our coach brakes were heating up badly. I like the ability to easily adjust the sensitivity of the system.

Just our experience.

ReadyBrute Elite tow bar that has the ReadyBrake surge braking system. Love it. Following 'wermudfun' on YouTube (seriously excellent detailed videos on the entire install), I installed it completely on my own with minimal swearing. I also used the wiring harness / feedback relay to use the RV brake lights through the Jeep as well. I also connected to the brake controller wire (unused) to feed back a signal to a light on my RV dash so I know when the Jeep brake pedal is pulled by the system. This gives me good peace of mind that I don't have brakes locked up and that things are working as they should.

Thanks for all your inputs. I am learning a lot but still torn. ReadyBreak seems good because of it's simplicity and it seems like less to go wrong. So now I'm down to the Invisibrake and ReadyBreak. I think when I compare the total installed cost between the two systems it may sway my decision. I like the connect and go of both, rather than having to keep putting a unit in and out of our toad.
