Wheel covers

A rather simple question from a simple guy. How does one remove the simulated chrome wheel cover on a class C rig. Need to remove one as the dualy extension has gotten out of line.

Just wanting to know if is the same as an old hubcap or if something else needs to be done first to avoid damage.

Class C
BIG flat blade screwdriver, pry the hub a little, move around the hubcap a few inches and pry again, etc.

Getting the front ones back on is pretty easy, I use a rubber hammer (when I can find it ) on the rear.

i found that about the best tool, except for the thing the tire shops would use, so the best tool in my box for it was a flat pry bar
looks like the biggest one in this set

The best move I made was putting those wheel simulators in my attic. Much easier to put the TPMS sensors on and off, dust caps for storage, airing up, etc....

Be careful when prying the wheel covers. If yours are like the ones on our Axis, they are very thin and dent/bend very easily. I learned this the hard way.

Be careful when putting them back on too. If you try and put it back on without getting it properly aligned you end up missing one by the next fuel stop.
