Wiper arm removal???

I have an Axis 25.2. I am wanting to reposition the wiper arm on the drivers side so that it comes over further. I removed the nut and it wont slide off the shaft. Is there something else I need to do?
Thanks a lot
Kevin

I had to use a small bearing or wheel puller to remove the arm on mine. It is a tapered shaft IIRC.

Before pulling off wiper mark current position with a sharpie. You will not have to move it very far like 1/16 inch. I also replaced the nut you took off with same size but has nylon insert in nut so it doesn't spin off in a rain storm. Take before and after photos.

Good tip. I am concerned with it interfering with the passenger blade but I have to do something the drivers side doesn't go far enough over to get the rain out of my vision. I was thinking of putting a shorter blade on the drivers side which would allow me to reposition it without concern. Thanks a lot

Yep, welcome the the Axis/Vegas wiper saga.

I was able to hit my wiper arn with the palm of my hand to POP it loose while holding the wiper away from the window.

Our try a rag and a screw driver to pry it up lightly?

I had a small gear puller which worked great. Thanks. Now to search for a shorter blade.
