Smile Wire hanging from left side of front shade

I’m a new member with thorforums and I am enjoying all of the helpful information that is posted. I have a new 2017 Thor Vegas 25.4 that has a wire hanging down from the left side of the front shade spool. It’s about 10 inches long and has some sort of small black button on the end that can be depressed. Any ideas out there as to what it is?

That is the switch to reprogram the stop points of the shade. Just tuck it up somewhere so it doesn't bang around and bother you.

This is a link to the youtube video that shows how to reprogram shade, if you ever need it.

A Jamie stated, secure it out of the way. The wife was opening our shade and the wire got tangled in the shade and ripped the wiring out. $600 and some change for a new shade and install at CW.....

sunshade dongle

We asked our Thor dealer what the hanging wire was, and was told that it was the "MIC for the Hands-Free BT phone"! Hmmm... a MIC disguised as a momentary-push-switch... clever,

I remember when our salesman answered this question when I asked about the button hanging down. He got a bit excited explaining what it was actually for, reset, adjusting, etc... and said "DON't PUSH IT!"....
