Bad Link?

The last week I have been getting the following error when I load Thor Forums; I use Firefox and have it set to warn ME when non-HTTPS: sites are linked, why Thor Forums is doing it I do not know. I have tried accessing it different ways, with the same result, shown here.

Thanks

EDIT: Here is the link shown in the image.

Two things here, second one first: I get a 404 Not Found unless I physically paste the URL into the address bar. This is could be a proxy or DNS issue within the forum infrastructure and/or internet provider.

On the first, make sure your shortcut uses https and not http. I've had that happen to me on a few sites that converted to https. You would expect an auto consumption of the old URL and a 'redirect' (so to speak) to the new but the second issue suggests there isn't a lot of investment made in the technical side of this platform (in my opinion).

In my Chromium based browser and in Edge, http://www.thorforums.com automatically redirects to https://www.thorforums.com/forums

Have you tried a different browser? Firefox has a history of these types of false alerts.

It could also be your DNS server not reading the redirect.

With the Forum here, if you are not logged in, MANY links do not work. These links I posted still work for ME(I am logged in).
But, I have Firefox set up so that every time it starts, it opens up about 8 tabs with different sites I use all the time. The Thor Forums one gives ME this error. I also have iRV2 Forums open auto and it does NOT give the error. Thor Forums runs a "different" setup than iRV2, like the fact links do not work if not logged in (they work with iRV2) and the two sites are under one umbrella.
One thing though, Linux Mint (My OS) had a Firefox update just about the time this 'problem' started... may have a bearing on it.

Maybe try Slimjet to see if it is Firefox related:

https://www.slimjet.com/en/dlpage.php

It's a good, low load browser without the Chrome negatives.

No thanks! I am good with what I have, (Linux Mint also has a Chromium browser I sometimes utilize) I am just 'reporting' there may be an issue on the forum site. With the Warning page, I just click on the "Go to HTTP Site" link and it goes there.... but then the page address bar says https://www.... so I do not know what is going on. I am posting it here for Janet H. to see.
