need info!

Please help!!!
I have a 2017 Thor Miramar 35.7. In the first bay on the drivers side there are 2 batteries and some sort of motor with a reserve tank with what appears to be transmission fluid in it. It is about 1/4 full. Can anyone please advise what the pump is, what the fluid is and what the appropriate level it should be kept at is??
Thanks

Hydraulic pump and reservoir for the leveling system. Uses ATF and should be full when all levelers are up.

Thanks for the info. After the feet were up the reservoir was 3/4 full. Should be ok, right?

If you also have hydraulic slides they should be retracted as well as the jacks to accurately check fluid level.

Thanks, the sides were in. Can you help me with the question of fluid in the reservoir. It is 3/4 full with the jacks up and the sides in.

On my 2022 Miramar, if I open the cap to the reservoir there is a built in dip stick that I can see to determine if I have enough automatic transmission fluid inside the tank. I use Dexron-VI automatic transmission fluid to top it off in the tank.

As Paul said above, Check if your cap have a dip stick, if it has, that is your way to know the right level.
My 2021 doesn't have that but the manual , as far as I remember, tells to keep the level 1in below full which makes sense since, if I'm not wrong, transmission fluid expands when hot so if you top the tank when it is cold, you may have a big mess in a hot day....

The level sounds fine and will fluctuate with the operation of the levelers and slides if they are hydraulic. The main focus of concern should be eyeballing the system from time to time as part of maintenance to check for leaks. Look at the pump and associated parts, lines, tank, pump manifold for signs of leaks. Look for wetness around any of those components. Also peak under the coach and look at the legs themselves. Look for any signs of leaks around where the lines attach or on the foot pad.
