Keep getting kicked out

For the last few weeks I have been having problems with the sight. I have reset my PW several times to get back in. If I go from the forums to home I get kicked out and have to log in again. If I go back to another post I get kicked out. What is happening. It is annoying enough that I will leave the site. Hope you can help.

I keep getting Error 1101 and it says try again later. Cannot use the iOS App or the Tapatalk app. What’s going on?

I have found when experiencing 'strange' issues with this site - it is typically my browser causing it... From login issues - to the display of read/unread posts...

Like many forums, 'cookies' are used to help maintain your session/login...
Try clearing your browsers cookies (each browser has a slightly different way of doing it) - and try accessing/logging in again...
(You can also just look for/remove the specific cookies from thorforums.com if you prefer/know how...)

If you have a second browser on your PC - you can also try that to be sure it is a browser issue. Or try accessing from another device.

Who did you guys aggravate?

I can't use Microsoft Edge as my browser, when I come in here to visit...
All of the sudden: my system won't let me move from one page to another, and posting in a thread becomes almost impossible.
I switch over the Chrome, and things seem to work much better.

Clearing cookies in Edge would probably 'patch' that too...
But - your better off with Chrome in my opinion.

My preference for PC is Firefox... Chrome as a 2nd/backup...
Microsoft Internet Explorer/Edge is there (cuz Microsoft puts it there) - but only used to validate website code is compatible when I'm working on sites... Not for 'normal' browsing activity.
(Just my opinions... use whatever you like... )

I always "empty the cookie jar" after each session...
Firefox is a good option.
(I currently keep three browsers available: Edge, Chrome, and IE-11. )

I was having the issue with my iPad. Next time I have an issue I will go to my laptop to see if it reacts differently.
Thanks to all who responded.

I use Edge all of the time and have no issues with it. OTOH I was an IT guy for 20+ years before retirement... so I am VERY particular about my settings and where I browse.

There are two easy solutions to that
  • Get a new one
  • nuke it and reinstall everything

I am running Vista and FireFox on an old computer. IE and Chrome give issues periodically on my other platforms.

True (mostly!!)

I find that it is about practicing "safe computing" and most people would simply make the same mistakes that cause their PCs to slow down. My concept of safe computing is that simpler is better. Don't be a digital pack rat! Don't add software that isn't needed... a lot of stuff launches at boot time and will take memory space as well as processor cycles when it isn't needed at all. (Norton Security, CCleaner, etc.)

I’ve been having password/login issues the past few days on a cruise forum. Finally logged in with my PC instead of my iPad, recovered and changed the password, now it’s fine. So I think Safari did something recently!
