Recommended Wireless RV Outdoor Camera

Hello,

Does anyone have any recommendations for a wireless outdoor camera for RVs?

Thanks,
Dee

I mounted this on the back of my Wrangler so we could keep an eye on our e-bikes from the coach while driving. Worked great.

I have been thinking about installing security cameras on the outside of my coach. Your link is to a wifi camera, so do you have a standard home type router in your coach? Is it 12v? Or do you run it off your inverter while traveling? Thanks for any info on your system.

I have a T-Mobile Home Internet Gateway hotspot in the coach for when we are moving and then StarLink at the campgrounds. The camera I recommended runs off a battery (long battery life if you are not constantly watching it) but you need a WiFi internet connection.

We have expensive ebikes and I have read a few stories where people had their bikes fall off or were dragging them down the road. I have mine secured with locks and tie-downs but I wanted a way to see behind the toad and this camera worked out great for us.

I have two of these on the A/Cs on the roof: one forward and one backward. They can be wired or wireless and viewed on your phone or tablet on your RV network without it being connected to the internet. But you do need to have an RV LAN.

RV Local Area Network by the technical definition….. but more simply put WiFi within and around the coach.

That seems to be a magnetic mount to the base. You are not worried the camera might come off on a nasty bump? How long does the battery last before needing a charge? And one last question, the description states it records when it senses motion, no issues with it stopping the video?
Thanks,
Jody

Thanks,

It comes with a magnetic mount and also a permanent mount. I used the permanent mount by taking off the plastic window hinge cover, drilling a couple holes and using screws and nylok nuts for the mount. Then I reinstalled the hinge cover and added some zip ties to make sure the hinge cover stayed on the hinge with the extra weight.

If you are not watching live video often, the battery can last weeks or months.

While we are driving a disable the motion detection and alarm. When we are stopping overnight ar a Cracker Barrel, I turn on the motion sensing and notification.
