2019 Thor A.C.E. 30.3. Just found out that my inverter and converter require plugins. There is currently only 1 plugin under the bed. I was told by repair facility that usually the inverter is hardwired in. So apparently I have been using the RV without the inverter plugged in. They ran the plug from under the bed to an outlet beside the bed as a quick fix. Has anyone else had this issue?

Did you buy this coach new? Stock inverters are usually hardwired in and certain (not all) outlets are wired into the inverter circuit. In my case there is a separate breaker box for the inverter circuit.

If you bought the coach used the inverter might have been a previous owner's mod.

Thank you for reponding.

I bought it new and the repair facility told me that it should have been hard wired in. Apparently the outlet outside the bed is working without the inverter because I turned it on running on house power and it worked. Trying to figure out the best way to correct this without leaving a cord coming from under the bed and plugged into an outlet. I have tried to get Thor to tell me what to do but haven't heard anything yet.

Thor installs inverters to run residential fridges; either the main inside fridge or the outdoor kitchen mini-fridge. In addition, the AC side of the Inverter normally has an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) that allows the loads powered by the Inverter to be powered by SP or the Generator when available.
The Converter is hard wired to the breaker panel if it is integrated in the power center. If it is an external converter they are normally plugged into a 120 VAC outlet neat the converter.

If you don't have a residential fridge then the Inverter is likely an Add-On. If you bought the coach new maybe the dealer added it at the request of a customer and the sale fell through.

What brand inverter is it?

Have you gone to the Thor Customer Resource Center and downloaded the plans for your coach? The electrical wiring diagram would show if/how the inverter was to be installed.

Arterra is the brand name of the inverter. I checked the Owners Manual and it is standard part for inverters for Thor.
