Thor Axis AC odor

Escaping South Florida hurricane IRMA. Lst night we noticed an odor coming from interior ceiling AC. Has anyone experienced this with their RV and have any suggestions s to what it may be. So far nothing seems to be burning but that is what the smell is, almost like plastic melting.

Take the inside panel off, perhaps a piece got caught up inside the fan and is getting "eaten" away by it.

You may want to check your elec. connections on your AC, especially if you are getting an acrid plastic smell. That is the way my transfer switch smelled before it melted the wire nuts and part of the case.
