Forum update this week

Hey folks you may see some strange goings on in the next few days as we expand the Motorhome section of the forum (https://www.thorforums.com/forums/f17/) to expand it into several sections, breaking out it apart into Class A, Class B & B+ and Class C and Super C

We'll be moving discussion from this one forum into one of several new sections - no discussions will be removed - only relocated....

Thanks in advance for you patience.

Testing

Do you have a test region where we could mess around? I can't imagine folks would follow test scripts but they might report errors early and save you some midnight oil. I could assume it's closed to posting and only open to navigation, though posting would be a more thorough test. What say you?

This isn't a software change - we're just adding some new discussion areas.
The Thor Motor Coach | Class A, Class B+ & Class C Motorhomes area has gotten quite large and currently all sizes of rigs are lumped in together. We're simply dividing this into several sections.

In the next few months we will be moving to a new platform for the whole site but we're not there yet. In advance of that change, we are doing a little rearranging and tidying up.

LMAO. Thanks. That was good. What happens in Vegas...

I'll go to Janet directly on the next one. Hope all is well as it can be on the home front for you and yours.

So a re-org. Got it.

How will they identify discussions v. statements? What will be used to categorize everything and place it in it's own section. If you do not know, that's ok but this kid is curious. There has to be some identifier to tie the chains together and I was wondering what is being used - purely from an underlying technology standpoint (e.g. DB pointers). If you can't answer, as Bob suggests, I get it.

If this is the look and feel updates, Snoopy dance . Target date?

Have you decided about a paid membership with 1,000 pm limit and a private non web published forum sub category and ability to edit and delete freely?

I can't do a real build thread unless I can change or add pictures at a later time, sometimes a year later.

There is a whole new section to the forum today splitting motorhome topics up by class with an added forum for general discussions about motorhomes.

Originally all these discussion threads (about 3000) were in one combined forum. That forum has been renamed to Class A and we've slowly started moving threads into the proper new locations: Class B or C.

Here's a link to that class A forum: https://www.thorforums.com/forums/f17/

You will find some Threads there that really should be relocated and this will take some time.

If you see a thread in this area that should be in another section you can report the first post (red triangle) and suggest a better location.
