What a good job you have done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I own a 2018 Thor Windsport 29m. We have had it almost a year this May. I have been very impressed with your upgrades and the remodel of your Windsport. I think I would trade you even for your RV. I love the shower better than ours, the kitchen and floor throughout is beautiful and it is so clean!! And the steps are amazing. I know you will enjoy it once your done and I don't know where you live but I hope our paths might cross cause I'd love to see it in person!!!! Signed; An envious Bob Trice

Oh my goodness! Thank you guys, those comments make it all worth while. To be honest, hardly anyone was commenting so I didn't know for sure if anyone was even reading the posts.
So that's great to hear! I am somewhat of a perfectionist, and that's my undoing much of the time. It's fair to say that I drive my wife nuts.
Again, thank you very much for the comments!

As we continue to prep for our trip to Moab, I bought a “Gazelle”, which is a 6-sided hub gazebo. As usual, the weather sucks and it rained all day yesterday and snowed this morning. So not wanting to go outside, I set it up in the den downstairs.
My wife loved that.
Manufacture brags it will fit 8 people in the 11’8” room. Not sure about that but it’s clearly large enough for me, my wife and 2 German Shepherds. And that’s good enough for me!

Amazon! Where else? Here is the link.
There is a short video of how to open and set it up, as well as taking it back down. It's really a no-brainer.
It's all one piece. No other parts except for the stakes, and those don't actually have to be used. You just unfold the tent, pull on the straps to make it pop into place, and then push the top up.
It only took me a few minutes to pop it into place. Full disclosure: I read the directions first, go figure? That's not something that I often do...
Seems to be well built and reasonably priced at $220.00.

Finally a break in the rain and I got a chance to finish painting the graphics on the drivers side. I was happy with the passenger side, but this side came out absolutely epic in comparison.
It looks good but I'm almost positive I redo some of them with a brighter color. Hopefully it'll give the old girl some "pzazz"! But for now, I'm just glad to have it ready for our first adventure on May 8th - 11th.
Not going far, just a few miles up the street to Standing Indian Campground. But it'll give us a chance to get everything sorted out and find out what I've overlooked, etc.

That looks just outstanding! I hope your shake down goes really well. But even if it doesnt, you probably know so much about your coach by now that you can fix pretty much anything! Youll be living the life before you know it. Great job.

I ordered and paid for new furniture back on February 21st and was told to expect 6 weeks before it shipped. Around the 5th week I took the squeaky wheel approach and started to email the company about a shipping date.
Long story short, the manufacture was running a week (to 10 days) behind schedule. It finally shipped and after another week of traversing the country in the back of a Freightliner, it arrived in Asheville. But apparently, it’s going to take another 8 days before they can bring it the additional 50 miles from Asheville over to where I’m at. Seriously?
So, this morning, I’m dragging a trailer over to Asheville to pick up the furniture I paid to have delivered. I understand that delays will happen, and that’s why I built in a buffer between my shakedown trip. But it’s the complete lack of professionalism that the shipping company is displaying that really gripes me.
I hunted down some reviews and they are rated 2.5 out of 5. And after talking to them it’s clear how they got such lousy reviews. Sucks that the mindset of providing good service has fallen so far.
Anyway, life goes on, and this morning I’ll hitch up a trailer to go fetch my new coach furniture. I’ve got the address, but I doubt I’ll need it. I’ll just look for the sign that says “Rude and Unprofessional Service Provided Here”.

Got back with my furniture and installed most of it. Captains chairs, dinette and sofa-bed are installed but still have to connect the seat belts to the dinette and sofa-bed and then install the dinette table.
Long day. Time for a brewskie...

- The good news: The dinette table is installed.
- The bad news: My new 1,200 watt inverter died last night.
- The best news!: Under Amazon's return policy, I had until today to return it. So I returned it this AM and bought an Aims 2,500 watt, pure sine inverter with built in transfer switch and 7,500 watt surge.
Much nicer inverter with quite a bit more power. More $$$ too, but I think we'll be happy with it in the long run.

Outstanding work! When you finish that bad boy you should take it up to Wakarusa In and let Thor have a look at how they are supposed to be built!!

Last week, while getting ready to take the motor home out on our "shake down" trip to Standing Indian, I had to remove a small cedar tree whose branches were going to scrap us on the way out.
It's not a very big tree, only about 12" in diameter. I tossed it on the sawmill and sliced it into thin 3/8' slabs, and then put those out in the sun to dry. Being as thin as they are, it's drying very quickly and weighs almost nothing.
My plan is to run the slabs through the plainer/edger and then line one of the closets in the MH. It's a wonderful way to reuse an otherwise doomed tree and will add a nice perk to the old girl. Given the almost veneer thinness of the wood, I don't expect it to add any discernible weight. Boy does it smell good!
More to follow...

I had purchased a Flow-Rite battery watering system a few weeks ago and just got around to installing it today. If you buy one of these, there are a few things you need to know.
- There are a couple of versions. 6 volt batteries use Flow-Rite RV2000 and 12 volt batteries use Flow-Rite MP2000 It's not clearly noted so be careful to get the correct product.
- Also, the package does not come with the Hand Pump, which is required to make the system work. Yes, you have to order it separately, another $28 bucks. Model number on that is RV2020
It took about an hour to install and is just the ticket for watering batteries that are tucked away in hard to get places. I was a little irritated that Flow-Rite soaked me for another $28 bucks on the hand pump, but it-is-what-it-is, I guess.
Also installed a TPMS. I spent a long time browsing on Amazon and was surprised at how many of the Chinese TPMS systems were the same product, just branded differently. I didn’t want to spend $600 on a system if I didn’t have to, so I opted for the B-Qtech wireless solar power TPMS. (Gotta love those Chinese names!) It was about $130.00 and had 5 star reviews, so I decided to give it a try.
The lack of instructions was incredibly frustrating, but in the end I prevailed. The main unit has a solar charger on the display, and supposedly it will keep the unit charged. We’ll see.
And lastly, I picked up a few Sensor-Brite 360 wireless motion activated lights. (Thank you Jerry “halfprice” for your recommendation a couple of weeks ago.) I installed a couple of these handy little lites in the closet so when we open the sliding door, we have lite! I had a small, battery powered LED in there already, but you had to turn it on manually. Not a big deal really, but these motion activated rascals are sooo much better.

Here are a couple of pictures of what the TPMS looks like. There are 6 individual transmitters that fit on the valve stem. You remove the valve stem cap and screw these on.
And of course, the other picture is the display, showing the current tire pressure. If a tire gets too low or the temp gets to high (all configurable in the system) and alarm goes off and the new info is displayed on the monitor.
Not a bad system for $130.00. Of course, it all depends on how long it lasts and how accurate it remains.
