full time backup camera

Great upgrades!
We have a 2015 Axis and I would appreciate some detail on how to make the backup camera a full time rear view. Have just junked the Axxera and installed a Sony XAV-AX210. It is very similar to the Kenwood but has a real volume knob! Turn signal and backup cameras work withit just like the Axxera.

The op hasn't posted on the forum for the last 18 months.

Post 78 in my signature thread shows my dedicated rearview monitor.
One of the flip-down monitors shows the brand. The brand isn't important.
Amazon.

May I ask what difference in steering the Safe-T-Plus system has made for you? What was the cost? Did you do the actual install?

Thanks,
Jay

Installation of the steering centering shock absorber

The installation of these units is quite easy as long as you have the proper bracket for the install and the wrenches. I did the install in less than an hour and just replace the existing shock absorber without the return spring. I think the steering improve dramatically. I did not add any of the extra parts that others add-the big rubber bumpers etc. The unit adds spring pressure that helps to keep the steering centered but obviously adds additional pressure on the steering hydraulic system when the front wheels are turned but I do not see any at the steering wheel.
