Smile 2016 Vegas 25.2 Carpet replacment

Hello everyone, I have a 2016 Vegas 25.2 motorhome. I see where the 2018s have a different floor covering in the operators area. It looks like the manufacture has done away with the carpet. Has anyone changed out there carpet for another type of flooring. I am not a big fan of carpet.

Good question, have been thinking about doing the same thing...

I am going to ask Thor if I can purchase enough of the same thing that is in the rest of the coach to complete the job. Nothing wrong with the carpet I just know it will not take long for it to get real dirty

So our 2017 Thor ACE has the linoleum extended into the drivers and passengers floor, no carpet. Its ok but we will be looking for carpet / mats to take up that space. Rremovable and washable preferably.

Our Axis came with some carpet scraps that we've been using as mats for the driver & passenger.

Was cleaning out the basement earlier this year and found some old mats for my long gone F-250--going to try to use them in the Axis (even though they don't fit exactly they still cover the important area).

Our 2016 has carpet in the front area, and we do the reverse. A soft car mat for the passenger side, and a vinyl one for the driver. Over 20,000 miles so far, and we have managed to keep it clean enough. But then, we don't have any 4-legged passengers, either!

Beautiful pic of the coach.

I've been itching to change out the carpet in the front cab area for about two years now. Well, now is the time. I can't deal with the "shag rug" anymore.

Tomorrow, I'm visiting a local flooring shop to try to match up the flooring. Camping World wants about $26.00 a square foot. The vinyl flooring is 8 foot wide by however many feet you need. Then you need to factor in shipping cost.

My plan is to rip out the carpet. Install some heat and sound barrier...followed by the new vinyl flooring.

Let's see if it all works out

Hello rvfigs and thank you for the complement. I contacted Thor and they told me to contact a dealer near me. I will eventually maybe. I like your idea about installing heat and sound deadening. I did not think about that.

What type of heat install? to create heat (heat type) or deflect from under the RV and the heat coming through??

Did you pull the carpet? What was under the carpet?
