A column removal?

Has anyone removed the A column cover on an F53? I'd like to run the XM antenna cable behind the column cover just never had to remove one before

While we're at it, how do you remove the cover on an axis/Vegas?
I need to fish a dozen or so wires up that column and would rather go under the cover than inside the a pillar.

"A" column cover removal...how to?

I missed this thread earlier. While I don't know how to, I do recall that someone had a cover that was loose and was looking for a fix. I'm thinking that it was JamieGeek but I struck out on a quick search.
Did you guys have any luck? Have you tried Thor CS?

I found a sentence within a thread that said they were held on by double sided foam tape and you had to split the foam tape to remove the cover.

It seems right since I can't find a screw or clip on mine.

The double stick tape would make sense. I haven't spent any time on removal because we've been traveling and it's dang hot right there by the column. Hopefully some one else has the answer.
Mine seems to be hooked under the windshield rubber so I'm thinking pull the rear edge and then front from under the rubber.
Maybe I'll get to that project in Oct when it cools off a bit
Thanks for the replies

A gentle heat gun might soften the adhesive enough to pry it. When it's cooler, I want to open up the trim that the curtain rail is screwed onto to get to inside the front cap to insulate. The column cover is filled with foam at the bottom and maybe on top. but here should be enough room to fish the wires thru.

gnash, I assume you've had one off? Does the tape go all along the edge or just in places? I need to get that done we are tired of moving the XM antenna around on the dash at every turn.

NO, MTHook, I've not opened it. The stereo tech that installed my XM drilled thru the roof into the covered pillar space (channel?) and used a fiberglass fishing rod to go down the the space to the engine compartment. The lower end/opening of the covered channel is filled with foam ( at the factory for wind noise/air intrusion, I guess). The rod needs to be flexy yet stiff enough to push. The bottom of the channel is of to the right when you remove the passenger's flip "computer desk".

That's good information. Was thinking about pulling the regular antenna from the roof, then attaching a string to the antenna for the regular radio then pulling it up to the roof and finish by pulling both down with the string. The foam may cause a problem for that plan,

MTHook- Using the antenna cable sounds pretty solid too. Please report back how you make out with this.
