29m Battery Box Dimensions?

RV is in the shop. Working on battery upgrade for when warranty work is complete.

Anyone know the useable dimensions of the battery compartment?

My unit is a 2020 Hurricane 29m.

Thanks in advance

Mine is 14" x14" and 18" high. It is a tight fit but two group 29 batteries will fit. There is room for a third battery if you use the front space for the dog cable and remove the divider. I suspect yours is about the same size.

Would you just wire the third in series? Does anything else need to change or just plop the battery in there?

You would need to fabricate something to hold the third battery in-place. In my coach there is no enough room to wire the third battery any way but in PARALLEL with the others without installing buss bars. (only 6 volts batteries go in series pairs) I haven't had a need to add a third battery because 129 amp-h usable from two 12 volt, group 29 batteries is enough for us the way we camp. These appear to be great batteries, as I have never had to add water in 18 months.

Trojan T145 Plus

I have a 2017 Windsport 29M. I installed 2 - 6V Trojan T145 Plus batteries. Unit is in storage so I don’t know dimensions of battery area except these were much larger and fit fine.
