50 amp power cord

I have a 2017 Miramar 37.1 that has a 25 foot 50 amp Power cord. Is there an easier way to roll and unroll the cord besides taking it through the 4-inch hole in the Power cord storage bay?

Thanks

Leave your compartment door open
Cut a notch in the compartment door

When we had our class A I wanted one of these

Yes, there is an easier way, and you can still use the 4-inch hole

If I follow correctly, you are describing an issue that drove me nuts. I wanted to use the 4 inch hole but hated pulling that cord, feeding in and out of that hole. Who would design something as such?

Here is what I did. I bought a 4 ft 50 amp cord that I hardwired into my ATS that had a male plug on the opposite side. I then purchased a 50 amp female connector and installed on the side of my factory 50amp shore cord that use to be hardwired into my ATS.

So now, I just plug into my pedestal and feed the female side only through the 4" hole. As a bonus; if I need more length, I can drop the male end of the 4 ft cord through the hole.

I can connect and disconnect in two minutes tops now.

The motorized reels are nice must they do require so human assistance. Mine can barely reel in a 50amp cord on its own.
