We have the 6.8. I'd like to drive one with the 7.3. Talking to someone with a 33' Class C with a V8 in it. Not sure I'd like that.

They never did mention gas mileage

Had and 2006 F150 with the 5.4.
"My Prius gets great gas mileage"
"Try hauling a stump with it."

I have been averaging 9.5mpg on my 7.3 over the first 10k miles, I am pleased with my fuel economy

Imagine what doubling your horsepower could do to your numbers

I wish the V10 had available modifications - very limited which sucks!
Imagine a supercharger on the V10!

That's not bad MPG. It is kind of hard to get these motor homes to get great fuel economy.
The V8 has to be quieter than the V10.

A tank is quieter than the V10

I average 10 mpg... 9 mpg when flat towing with my V-10. The Ford V-10 is 20+ year old legacy technology. It has been revised/tweaked over the years for a balance of durability/power/torque. My mechanic specializes in working on the V-10... they're very common in small transit buses which he works on. He said they're designed to be ran at high revs - which I wasn't used to - I thought I was going to blow it up in the mountains! But he claims not... it's normal.
The V-10 has been a reliable workhorse for Ford. Time will tell if the new V-8 replacement will hold up like the V-10 has.

That might depend on the tank that you're using as an example...

Our 99 "99 E350 with the V10 pulled our various TTs all over the country for 20 years and over 100k miles. MPG was what it was: 6-8 towing, up to 11 solo. Blew out one plug, lost one ABS wheel sensor and one alternator in 20 years. It's on local duty now, but still has the heart of a towing beast!

gas mileage
Get the 6.7 Power Stroke and you will never go back to gas. I can pull mountain passes 11,000 alt. with a 5000# trailer at posted speeds. 1000 foot # torque.

Perhaps, but it comes at a price that many of us choose not to pay for a recreational activity. I’ve had my gas coach at those elevations with no complaint. There were a few passes that I had to use the truck lane but it didn’t bother me at all. It’s good that we have so many options for our various interests and budgets.
