Don't have an ACE but look at Cobra 75 WXST, you can mount box anywhere under the dash, microphone/speaker hangs on dash, works great!

I don't have an ACE but had also a problem to install a CB. I have the Cobra 18WXST II and that unit has a front firing speaker and installs like a regular car radio.
I don't know enough about the Ace, but my Hurricane did not have any real arm rest/cup holder thingy on the left side, and I decided to build one for the radio and all the other stuff. This might b a possibility for you, too.

Custom arm rest
Thats not a bad idea. The arm rest thats in the newer A.C.E. is a P.O.S., I could wip something up like that.
Thanks

I was planning on attaching with a side mount to the couch. Need to figure out how to run the coax cleanly to the highest point I can.

I don't know where you guys have the radio antenna. I installed the CB antenna (a Firestick no ground plate) next to the radio antenna and followed the same path that the radio antenna cable has.

Hudsoner,
My radio antenna is on the roof, I like your idea of following the radio line down. I will have to look and see if a side mount could do that.

Happy, the radio antenna wire should run down thru drivers side A pillar. If you mount you CB antenna on the A pillar you should be able to pass the wire down the same path. Easiest way is to remove inside trim and use coat hanger to fish the cable down under the dash, I've done it this way 5-6 times on our coaches and for friends.

Is there a trick to removing the trim??
I've looked at doing that on mine - to run antenna wire down for same reason - but don't want to break it in the attempt.
