Overhead bunk

Have a motorized bed (thor 35c). It keeps slipping over the drivers side. Have lowered and reset numerous times but after traveling for awhile it slips about an inch. There are safety pins but we never use thos bed. Has anyone ever removed this or know how to remove thos bed. Have thos fear it is going to crash on me going down the highway.

We have 31,000 miles. Only time the bed came down was when the pins weren't in. If the pins aren't staying in tight, try lowering the bed onto the pins to make it tight.

the bed also can not actually 'come down' on you since it would bind at the angle before that would occur... the pins are there to hold it...

but, if you're like us... we don't use ours for a bed, either, especially since we have bunks... we drilled two pin holes about 8" lower and now use the front bed for storage.

Thanks for the replies but I think the bed is a waste of weight and space. I propably will start looking for a different coach. This has to be the worst pos on the market. Half way thru my second trip and the front end failed again with the same issue ford supposedly fixed. (Front end steering suspension bangs and loud snap when you turn). The fit and quality of this unit is really showing after.a.year. I is like a.YUGO you need to have 3 or 4 for spare parts. Thor probably makes good products but this isn't one of them. It was not like I didn't give it a chance. I'm afraid every time. I drive it something else major is going to break. To big to be a lemon more LIKE a watermelon.
