Adhering wallpaper border to smooth surface of Axis cabinets - anyone tired it??

Anyone tired it?? The cabinet surface is that very smooth shiny Formica-like material they used on the Euro design doors. I wonder if it would stay adhered to such a smooth surface. It is a pre-pasted wallpaper border. Has been great on normal painted wall.

I have the perfect "scrap" left over from a project in my sticks & bricks. It would add some color and design to the current dull neutral of the MH interior.

I'd like to add a little color without spending much or having a big project on our hands. This seems quick, easy, has some of the same colors as the sofa pillows, and... the price can't be beat.

I'd try a small sample, but my piece is just exactly the right length and no more.

Would love your experience if you've tried it - go for it or epic fail. TIA

First: clean the surface with alcohol (de-natured; not liquor! )
Second: there are all sorts of adhesion helping chemicals that'll make the stuff stick to greased ice.
Check with a hobby or craft store.
Good luck!

Sounds like the start of a project.

DH & I will kick back and enjoy that other alcohol after the mini project is done and we can admire the decor. We live in wine country, so the drinking is easy.
