Anyone use HEATED rv drinking hose?

We are Winter traveling. Pro cons ?

https://camperreport.com/heated-rv-water-hose/

A heated RV water hose will give you safe drinking water even when temperatures dip below freezing.

Our top pick: The No Freeze Heated Water Hose
Out of the 3 brands of heated hoses for RV use, the No Freeze Heated water hose was the only heated RV water hose that met all of our criteria.

Only the No Freeze boasts a tough, military-strength design. It is made with a protective outer layer of braided polyester monofilament over the PVC foam insulation, which houses the self-regulating heating cable and FDA compliant hose.

This heated water hose beat out other brands with its thermostat-free design. The No Freeze heated RV water hose uses electricity at 2500 Watts per 25 feet, which is on the high side compared to competitors.

I use on-board water and never hook up if freezing temperatures are forecast

No issues filling when freezing temps prevail

The one you mentioned sounds like the Artic version

It really depends on your rig and how much cold weather it can tolerate. We’ve used heated hoses a few times when the temperature was going to get into the low 20’s at night and have not had any freeze issues. If it gets down into teens, we’re disconnecting and using on-board storage.

Also depends on the campground. We’ve had some that have heat tracing and insulation around the water spigots and other places that just shut off the water if it’s gets below freezing.
