Apple car play stereo exchange

Finally removed the old axxera radio and replaced it with Apple car play stereo.

Install was easy as the radio slides in tight in existing tray. Splice some wires and plug in. Picture quality of back up and side cameras is much clearer.

Very nice, what brand? can you provide link? I know there are a bunch out there. While you help me spend more money, I wont need to google too much

Is there a USB on the back that you can run the wire from vs running from front?

Unfortunately there is no USB on the back so the phone must be plugged in the front. But unlike the apple car play in my 2019 Honda Accord 2lt sport, you can plug the phone in anytime, not just before the radio is turned on.

The power is more (240 watts) so the sound is cleared and crisper. The video screen is also clearer (more resolution) so the back up and side cameras are much better - they also come on faster than the original Axxera radio the RV came with.

You can also change the wallpaper by contacting the company via Facebook and sending the a picture.

All in all I think it is a great deal for the price and what you get. It also slips right in to the existing radio tray - just slide the old one out and the new one in. The wires for the power, Brake, Reverse and AUX power will have to be spliced as well as the speakers (they are all the same color as the original).

Took about one hour from start to finish.

There is a newer and cheaper model but I wanted the dial volume control button (old fashioned and easier to control).
