Aria Cab Fans: Rewire to work with key off?

I would like to modify the wiring on my two cab fans so they work with the key off. Since our rig does not have a ceiling fan, it would help move air around the front area that is already warm from the big windshield.

Thanks

So you WANT to move more hot air to the rest of the coach?? The fans are for defogger g the windshield. You might be better off just adding a fan.

In any case it should be easy enough to do. Just run a 12V unstitched wire from a nearby fuse box, or from the battery, or from any other unswitched accessory to the switch. Or, if there is a relay for the fans, to the relay.

I'd have to agree with Pete as to just plugging another real fan that might actually be felt past the front seats, much less work & more air movement.

I agree with the other posts. I use a plug in oscillating fan when parked. It moves more than the defoggers.

Had custom screens made for the front windshield and driver/passenger windows. Dropped temperature from the sun. We also use an independent oscillating fan.

Thanks. I was trying to eliminate carrying and setting up something else.

Better fan mod

What I did was extend the drop of the fans on my Windsport using 3/8 inch black pipe screws into flat flanges when then screw into the op fan base and headliner. They extend down just over 6 inches from stock and don’t obstruct the view.

I like to have the wind in my hair when I’m driving and the chassis vents are too weak.

I did same. Had custom fit Sun Guard shades made. Plug in a fan on that passenger desk. But the SunGuard shades make a huge difference.

My 2 speed fans make a lot of noise on high and certainly move air

They also run when ignition is off so wired OEM that way

Parked, a vertical oscillating fan or ac fan

on my tuscany if you turn the key to aux or acc it will run the fans

i did it a few times when i left the brick heater at home , so they ran to clear the window all night.

worked, but they are noisy IMO

your aria might be wired the same
and on acc i can turn on the dash ac blower to move air. not sure if that's wired right but it does work
