Axerra Replacement for 2021 E450
Looking for any info on replacing my Axerra AVM700ui that is in my 2021 E450. I have been to numerous website and spoke to the reps at Crutchfield and all say there is nothing that fits "yet" and no wiring harnesses are available "yet" and to check back in a few months.
I have read every thread on RV stereo replacement and was hoping someone had real world experience they could share.
Thanks in advance

I’m confused.. the axxera radio is after market not a Ford radio. I think they are saying they can’t replace the original Ford radio. Not sure about the 2021 but my 2017, I replaced with a nice double din pioneer.

What Crutchfield and others are saying is they do not guarantee fitment and have no wiring harnesses at this point for my model year, could be the same as previous years but they can't or won't say that.

Like the OEM wiring harness is still in there. You need a stereo shop that knows how to properly connect a stereo to bare wires. It isn't that difficult - teenagers do it all the time.

Newer radios do not rely on din sizes.
My latest is basically a 10.1" tablet with car radio style outputs.
It's flat and fits any din size.

what to get to replace axxera radio
"I’m confused.. the axxera radio is after market not a Ford radio. I think they are saying they can’t replace the original Ford radio. Not sure about the 2021 but my 2017, I replaced with a nice double din pioneer. "
I am looking to replace the axxera as well and could use some advice on radios that will do the job. I don't need the camera feature as I installed the rear view mirror variety. I just need radio/Cd player with three zone
Thanks

Cd player must be din or factory size.
Take the rv to your local stereo install shop, tell them what you Want, do what they say.
They install 50 per week, few to none here have been involved in more than two(ish) rv radio installs.
Trust a local shop.
I'm smart enough to install my own radio. This means I'm smart enough to have a professional do it.
I went to a shop.
Just a suggestion and absolutely nothing more:
Consider ditching the cd's and using your phone with Bluetooth.
The music will be with you always.
(We have dedicated $10 used phones in our rv for media, and, maps)

Thanks for the suggestion. I took it to them last year and they could not do as good a job as my friend who put in the mirror. They were overpriced and clueless as to what the problem was. My friend and I found the problem , a basic power issue in a wire that was chewed and he redid the wiring so the radio worked fine. I just don't like the axx radio

Sometimes they will say that a deck will not fit because it’s not a direct fit. It just means that there are modifications that need to be done. Years ago on my Silverado I wanted to put in an Eclipse Navi unit. It wasn’t a direct fit but with some modifications, If I remember correctly I just had to cut some plastic. Like what was said earlier take it to an installer they know how to make things fit.
