Good to hear that they last...was wondering. Mounting for heads-up viewing is a good plan. My reason for mounting it where it is is for the copilot to monitor instead of me. I can look at it during stops. At any rate they are easy to reposition, should she not want to play.

Couch OUT Loungers IN

Finally got the new Theatre Loungers in and installed. Out with the Couch and in with some real plush and comfortable recliners. They extend with the slide in or out. The rack holding the tables and ladder are still in place. Only downside, now only 4 seatbelts (joked with the wife about putting the third set on the toilet seat, she was not amused).

Hopefully a pic of my scan gauge on dash.

DocMike, some questions about the recliners:
Does the table still work in front of the recliners (e.g. is there enough room)?
Is there still room for the table storage behind the recliners?

Jamie,

Yes the table still works when the seats are not reclined all the way back with foot rests out. I have sketched out and measured for an adaptor to sit in the two recesses in the floor supporting just one pole access centered between the two so as to allow use of the small table centered (and rotated as needed).

There is room for the tables and ladder, but I think I will make a new mount for the 3 poles as they rub on the back of the DW's chair when she reclines the chair all the way.

BTW: Really comfortable, just woke up from falling asleep watching TV. Back in the house now. Also, there is a hutch under the center arm rest. Might be able to design a great hidden storage space under the one provided.

Doc, another question:
Do the recliners have seat belts?

AJ,

It took them 2 hours to do the install. Total costs with shipping, taxes and installation just under $1400. Now, to sell a couch!

We purchase Command hooks to use inside closets and in the kitchen on the wall next to the stove for pot holders and hand towels....I appreciate the towel rack on the front of the stove on our new Axis...saves having to use an over the drawer towel rack.
In addition, a couple years ago, we purchased a Belkin Charger, which has 6 usb ports ... nice for an additional charging station up front. I like having the charging station in the bedroom of our Axis 24.1..

Changed out Axxera for Jensen 215 Radio

I know there's been a lot of discussion about radios. I was so frustrated with the Axxera radio that I upgraded to the Jensen 215. At first glance I could not be happier with the upgrade.

Not sure if it was the unit I had, but simply put, the camera image on the Axxera was utterly useless. Could not make heads or tails of the camera feed unless the lighting was just perfect. I assume this was due to the resolution on the screen. The Jensen is way way better, this can not be understated in my mind.

I couldn't toggle back and forth between cameras. The side cameras would only work if the blinker was activated. Your supposed to check your side camera AFTER you decide to tell those around you you intend to change lanes? Problem fixed with the Jensen.

No navigation through the Axxera, problem fixed.

No satellite radio through the Axxera, problem fixed.

Camping World had to attach the existing camera wires into the connectors used for the Jensen as there were no adapters, but they got it done and at the outset anyway, it works great.

I did lose the HDMI feed, but we never utilize that feed anyway. Perhaps there's a better quality Axxera out there, but with my frustration I wasn't going to give that a try.

Anyhoo, thought I'd share my experience.

Before leaving for a 2 month trip from Washington State to Cabo San Lucas & return I ordered a Magne Shade (Home | Magne Shade | Sunshade for RV, RV Shade, Installs from the ground, Magnetic Shade, Magnet Shade) to reduce the heat inside while in Mexico. WOW!!! What a difference! My estimation is at least 20 degrees cooler inside.

Great product I highly recommend.

Does the Axis Vegas have the mic at the rear camera? If you have the mic you should have the sound when in reverse with the Axxerra.

How did they route the antenna for the Sirius tuner?

The bad weather is finally breaking here so this weekend I will be cleaning and working on our RV, so I will climb up and look to see if I have a mic on the camera.

Thanks.
