Dinette or do-not-ette

In the 24.1, the table can not be set up unless the slide is out – didn’t like that. So I robbed the table parts and made rotating tables that can be used anytime.

We like what you did and if it works for you doing it that way .. that is what counts...
We ALWAYS put our slide out...no table placement is not an issue .. and when we don't feel like setting up the table, we have a nifty folding wood camp table which we use in front of the couch and outdoors.

I like it. We don't always put the slide out when we're stopped for the night en-route.

Are they removable?

24.1 upgrades

We have added a few things to our 24.1 so far. I added a fold up shelf next to bathroom sink so we had some more usable space when using the sink. I also put a magnet catch on the fold up shelf next to the kitchen sink to keep it from 'banging' as we drove. I built a little shelf to put up above the toilet and I built a map holder for in front of the bird house and used Velcro to hold an office tray above it. I also fashioned a board to put under our dish strainer so that it would hold the strainer and drain it into the sink. I'm working on a few other mods that I will make over the winter but will have to wait until the spring to install them.

Us too--I really like that flip up for the bathroom sink. (Showed that picture to the rest of the family and they all said: "Yes do that, immediately!" LOL)

Did you use one like this (Amazon) one?

Jamie...what an excellent idea...the amazon offering ...
Ron was thinking of using a cutting board and placing a couple hinges on it..
this may work better ..the amazon item dpes have the support bracket on the back ... thankYOU !

Grdmsn .. we have a question...will the bathroom door close with the extension in place ? Having watched the video of the Camco offering on Amazon...We are interested in what you used for the install ..
Our 24.1 is in winter storage and is not near us.

Thank YOU ~! Ron and Kay

There is an option there: If there isn't enough room with it mounted flush with the sink counter; you could always mount it so that it folds away below the counter (thus wouldn't be flush when up but it would still provide valuable counter space when deployed).

Bathroom folding shelf

I used a cutting board for the shelf and purchased a pair of folding shelf brackets from CW, item 49684. I had to rout out the cutting board I think about 1/4" - 1/2" to recess the brackets so that when they folded down the bathroom door would not hit it when closed. I also put a self adhesive felt pad on the mirror molding so if the shelf swung it would not rattle or hit the mirror. It works great. I open the door fold it up and put my shaving kit on it and when done, I put the kit back in the cupboard and fold down the shelf. It makes the sink so much more useful.

Pic of shelf with door closed

I attached a picture of the bathroom fold up shelf with the door closed. It does not fold up even with the sink top when using it but is close enough. You can also see where I had to rout out the cutting board for the brackets.

We have that exact same grey tray on our doghouse. BTW, what is this "map" of which you speak?

I just love the fold down counter for the bathroom sink! It has driven me crazy having no place to set down hairbrush, etc. This will be our next project, and I wanted to thank you for sharing!

thanks Jamie .. we were wondering how flat it would lay with the Camco from Amazon ... since we are in storage, it will be spring before we do this...definitely any improvement...anxious to see how your Camco fits.

thank you Ron and Kay
