Thanks I appreciate the input. I may just buy the GPS and leave off the back up camera. Any complaints about the GPS itself and can you see the GPS and monitor the camera at the same time?

Not sure if yours is the same, but on my 17 Axis there is a video multiplex device with open rca jack outputs in the little panel on top of the dash above the speedometer. It is covered by the plastic panel with 2 flathead quick release screws.

I purchased a 9in monitor and connected it by rca wires to the device then wired it up so the monitor powers on when key is in run position.

The monitor continuously shows the rear view camera.

I can send pics tomorrow if above makes no sense.

I appreciate all the advise really. I am just trying to figure a way to manage everything. I am trying to figure a way to manage everything without running a half dozen wires and screens. I am still trying to find a way to monitor my Stay and Play as the led that shows activation is not visible in the back up camera. Then I have the back up camera. The GPS of course. A TPMS is in my future and I would like to add side cameras but all that sounds like a dash of wires and screens that may be more distraction than helpful.

That is exactly why I switched out my dead Axxera for the 10" tablet radio. Also available in 7". Includes everything you are looking for plus more. Same wires, (at least for the Axis, Vegas, not sure on others) no exposed wires and all for $300 or under. I am like you, I am a minimalist, love the clean look.Click image for larger version

Ok so you have piqued my interest. I looked over the earlier posts but must have missed it. What is this magical $300 device. Make, model, etc. Definitely interested in the 10 inch to provide maximum clarity.

Not saying magical...but if we add up everything we are looking for plus all the apps. You can download. $300.00 is a great price. Save box and all paperwork/ you don't like it take it back. Super Easy install at least on Axis. I can't imagine much difference on others. Have questions contact me.[emoji2] Click image for larger version

I tried the video output to my tv via rca cables, nothing I set or switched would send the signal to the tv. This is the most useless radio designed

Video output from what? The radio? Were you playing a DVD at the time because that is the only thing that comes out of the video out of the radio. The normal screen does not.

That is exactly what I was trying to do, I had a dvd in and wanted to send it to the tv rather than buy another dvd player when one was already in the vehicle. Couldnt even get sound out of it

You would think that is what the Video Out was for, but unfortunately the manual does not even mention it except to say it is there.
