After reading a few post from you folks on this I thought it would be a great addition.

Anyway my question after looking at the different HUD units it seems they all require OBD II connection. I just went to my 2017 ACE and found the sticker says OBD HD. The plug on the steering collum only has 5 leads attached.

I would like some imput as to what you all have for OBD ports and what unit you got if your ports of OBD HD

I use the BAFX OBDII to bluetooth adapter and a program called Caroo. I have a dash mounted Android tablet ($70) that is about in the same spot as a HUD projection would be (i.e. low on the windshield). The advantage of Caroo is as well as being a HUD type monitor it also uses the tablets camera to record anytime you have a sudden deceleration. It also captures the OBDII data. In the case of an accident you have a video and data record of what you were doing at the time.
