Best $20 bedroom/bathroom door anti-rattle/slide device

Hi all,

I got real tired of the bathroom & bedroom doors rattling/knocking and even closing while driving. I tried putting things between the door and walls, but never found a satisfactory answer.

Viola - purchased a pair of furniture earthquake straps from my local big box hardware store and they DON’T rattle or close while driving anymore.

One caveat - after a few months, the initial strip of Velcro on the door pulled off the cheap “wood” finish - I did have to replace that strip of Velcro - but now its on bare wood.

Easy, cheap & effective. My type of mod.

I'll keep that in mind if my doors ever become a problem. One question, why did you mount them so low?

Couple reasons: 1) least amount of torque since the doors are hung from the ceiling, 2) didn’t want to hit ‘anything’ in the walls, 3) least visible.

I did the same thing but with snaps instead of Velcro
