bidet - washer only

I am purchasing a new Axis 24.1 and would like to install a bidet. I do not mean the type that fits under the seat but the simple hand-held washer that mounts on the wall...some for homes mount on the toilet tank.

I would like to hear from anyone who has done this. The only issue is patching in a T fitting so water can go to toilet tank and sprayer. I found a photo from another posting...to be clear what I am looking for.

thanks...but that is what I do not want to install. Not the cross the seat bidet but a simple butt washer that only connects to the water inlet.

I installed a hand type sprayer similar to the one in your picture in my 2008 Four Winds Siesta. If your toilet is the same as mine you will see on the back of the toilet bowl a plastic fitting aiming towards the rear wall. You just cut off the end of the plastic barb and put the hose on with a hose clamp. It was quite simple but a bit of a pain to get behind the toilet. If you want I will take a couple of pictures tomorrow and send them to you if you PM me your email address.

When you add the "bottom-washer" to the plumbing: do you gave enough water pressure to do the job?
(Assuming that the water is now split between flushing, and washing
..)

Hoping to hear from Axis owner on this. I've installed several in homes, always sufficient. They don't work simultaneously.

...So the bidet is installed "upstream" from the flushing mechanism?

On my toilet it shares water with the flush, but it has plenty of pressure to do the job.

Just put a 10’ metal/aluminum ez flex hose on your shower
Then use your shower spray for cleaning everything within your bathroom area

IIRC...there have been other threads on this topic in the FORUM

That hose and nozzle is there to wash / clean the toilet bowl when needed. It is not a bidet hose but with skilled contortions it can be used as one. I suggest you have plenty of dry towels on hand to mop up any water that escapes the toilet. 😉

To clarify, we live in Indonesia half year, and practically all toilets are set up this way. Once used to it, you can't imagine doing without. It you step in shit, you don't wipe your shoes with paper, you wash them. :-))

Anyway, my dealer has agreed to install.....

We installed a bidet on our camper toilet. Yes, it was the normal under seat unit, but the plumbing is the same on either one. You would need to tee into the feed to the toilet before the flush valve. Our unit had Pex tubing coming through the wall behind the toilet. I cut into this tubing just in front of the flush valve and installed a Pex tee fitting and then added a manual shut off valve, then the hose for the bidet. If you have a shut-off valve attached to the wall (piping is hidden) then there are fittings that will allow you to add a tee right at the wall valve so you can add your bidet hose. Good luck.

Tushy bidet

I just installed a TUSHY under the seat bidet in my 2015 Thor Vegas 24.1. Works great, if you go that route just order the bidet with a 1/2 tee fitting to connect the water line. The normal tee fitting that comes with the bidet is a 7/8 fitting for house hold use. Simple install !!

So did you hook it up to hot water... or cold?

I connected to the cold side. I figured I only use the RV in the summer time and the water should be relativity warm.
