what do you think of this idea? wouldn't it be nice to go back to the old days when you could pick out the furniture for your coach??? as in...we like the coach but want the sofa instead of the dinette, or vise versa..or we want twin beds instead of one bed....recliner sofa instead of a sofa bed...

Yes, but that would slow down the assembly line, causing higher prices. There are a few manufacturers who will allow you to select many options, but they are very expensive

There are some custom RV manufacturers about, but of course you'll have to pay for that freedom.

For those you pick the length, floorplan, and the furniture.

I asked the factory dude that question during the tour...he said they would never consider it. It would cut production by 30% plus a whole lot more (warranties). He did add, "that's why we try to include as much in the coach as possible and not have upgrades/options by the thousands like lost other builders". Makes sense.

We were able to custom order our new rig... But were only able to pick out optional accessories, and colors.
Anything more; and you'd definitely slow down the construction process.
(Come to think of it: that's probably the best thing thing that could be done!)

It would be cool to order it without anything, however (for example) in my RV the bed in the rear has rv stuff under it. To change it to a bunk house or just leave an empty room would mean a bunch of stuff would need a new home. Same with the dinette on many models. They would need to build the RV with all of its systems underneath.

Yes.. There are "Low Volume" RV/Motor Coach manufacturers that encourage you, the purchaser to "custom order/specify" exactly What You want...How You Want & Where do You want it?..

However.. You WILL pay Dearly for those options...
As Someone once said.."If You have to ask their Price...You cannot afford them".
