Not in that 3 months that's for sure! When I had to move it out of our driveway I did it by standing up and holding the gas pedal in my hand a few times! It's hard to drive without a seat. It was actually easier to park when you can see the front wheels through the open dash though. haha. My wife kept saying "It's like a christmas present we can't open but it's sitting right in front of you!" We both knew we'd use the cr@p out of it eventually though so it was fine.

Last weekend was overnight at Sunset Beach near Santa Cruz, then overnight at Big Sur on highway 1. We've now slept in it a total of 3 nights! hahaha. Next week we'll be in upstate New York (by plane of course), but when we get back we have two back to back boating trips planned for the Vegas.

We kept a log in our old motorhome, we wrote down every trip that wasn't just a quick overnight. Over 150 trips and well over 100k miles. That thing didn't sit unused in the driveway very often! Hopefully we'll actually get more use out of this Vegas.

Right on. Now you can enjoy all those mods and camping.
I may have as much time fixing mine between trips as you have all at once. I would rather do it the way you did, but things break, leak, melt and don't work at different times, like most every trip.
After it wears it out, I may have it fixed and ready to start over. No, time to trade.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but the pictures don't seem to be visible anymore. I just created my account and I'm really interested to see how GMTech's Vegas turned out. Are these pics posted anywhere else?

GMtech got his feathers ruffled and took his football (pictures) and left the building.

No actually he didn't take the pictures down, the admins here did. As well as making his email address void so he can't register or log in on this or any of the other RV Life forums.

The wealth of knowledge that could have been shared here in the last 3 years was immense. That Vegas now has over 40k miles on it and is one of the most impressive RV transformations on the road by far. The modifications didn't stop 3 years ago, in fact they've continued up to as recent as last month when the bathroom was rebuilt using polished LG HiMacs solid surface material for the countertop, floor and shower pan. The front slide has also been completely removed and the kitchen/dinette area remodeled. There is no single part of that Vegas that's been untouched and the end results are amazing.

Since GMTech had no place to share all of the things he had done, very few of the thousands of pictures of the "Vegas project" have been posted online anywhere. Here's one video showing just one of his rear suspension modifications...

I just read this old thread. It is unfortunate that the OP left with all of his pictures.

He does confirm my thesis: The Thor Axis/Vegas is a brilliant design but abysmal execution. The OP took care of most of the execution problems with time, expertise and money. I am working through them on my 2021 Axis but wont do 1% of the work he apparently did. I too am 90% there, but my end product won't be anything like his.

Please don't spread mis-information about users, this forum or the Site Team.

GMTech's account here is still active, he can log in any time he desires.
Nobody but him "took down his pictures". You can simply quote any of his posts with pictures in it to see the URL for the pictures. The hosted picture location produces a "404 - File or directory not found" error which means they are no longer located at the URL - his doing, nothing any Site Team member has the capability of on the picture hosting site.

(Sorry I tried doing this through a pm but I'm not allowed to.)

Try doing a password reset on his email address.

When that doesn't work, try making a new account with that same email address.

When both of those don't work, apologize.

No matter how it happened:
We're taking he 24.1 on a drive-about later this month.
Ultimate destination is NASA in Virginia, I can never remember the name of the City.
We'll toss a coin for right or left at any crossroads, so we can be anywhere, at any time.

I will gladly show the op mine if he'll show me his.

No apology forthcoming.

When you do a password reset he is the one that gets the email to reset his password. Nothing accomplished by doing that.

You can't make a second account with the same username or email address - the forum software does not allow it (how confusing would that be?)

Suffice to say that I can look at his profile and verify he is not "banned".
I can look at the list of banned users and he is not on it.

I can look at the URL of his hosted pictures (...url=http://j16450yz.com...) and surmise he owns the domain and hosting service since it's the same number/letter combination as in his username (j16450yz), so only he has control over those pictures.

If he believes he is "banned" it is up to him, not you, to contact the Forum Administrator to reinstate his account or reset his password if he desires to participate in the Forum. End of conversation.
