A/C Water Run-Off

I don't know if any one is experiencing the same issue, but when my roof a/c units is running there is water run-off down the awning side of my RV. Besides, cleaning out the drip pan, does anyone have a remedy for this issue?

Looking for a solution.

Thanks!

Somewhere along the way some genius decided to do away with gutters and drain spouts. Mine does the same and it drives me nuts. There are several other threads that discuss mods. Good luck.

Level your rig so the water runs off the opposite side
Many folks do install gutters and spouts as well. lots of threads about the issue and some units have drain hoses as well

It only takes abo8ut a degree or so to get the water going the other way.
Or you can add drip spouts...

I put gutters on mine. For what ever reason it didn’t matter how I leveled it the water always went somewhere I didn’t want it to. I am in Houston area and the humidity is very high.

I put gutters on mine but they don’t always work. If the coach is level the water sometimes doesn’t actually flow to the spout and it overflows down the side. The solution, as others have said, is to manually level such that the water will go where you want it to go. It does not have to be a noticeable slant to do the job. The top drawer solution is to use a condensate pump and send it all down one of your plumbing vents like they do on the ultra fancy rigs.

I got all excited about this when we bought our rig almost a year ago and ordered spouts and gutters. They are still in the box in my shop lol

Here's a good thread with an option for you.
It's called Trim Lock Drip Rail, available on Amazon
You can also add standard RV spouts on each end

We set our awning to dip a little bit on the back side so rain and runoff go in that direction. I also angle it a little higher in the front when leveling. Seems to have sorted it out for us.
