Cam/cad guy needed for nice thor group 3d print project.

I bought our adult(damn. I never thought I'd accuse her of that)daughter a 3d printer .
She's proficient at it. PLA mostly, some wood filament, a magnetic filament, but I'll buy the nozzles and material for better/stronger/uv resistant.

If our forum has someone who can 360 one of those miserable axis/vegas screen clips with better grip and size and just overall improved, into an appropriate file type, I'll have her run off a few hundred of them as 'forum member gifts'. And we'll all share the file and setups in case you come across a printer later.

If you don't have the talent yourself, I'm making my kid do it, maybe your kid can CAD....
I'm told it's entry level type design.

Unless they already exist on thingaverse...then just find me the file and I won't need them engineered.

I can model in 360 (to a limit). What is the part you are looking for? I am not familiar the screen clip you are talking about.

I'll post some good pictures later today.
They look similar to,and are sized like the old style half turn, one screw bathroom mirror mounts.

I've been searching for those screen clips without success. I even asked and RV dealership to order some months ago, and they haven't delivered.

Here are some images I found that I believe are the parts I want, but the resolution of these photos is so bad that I can't read the part numbers.

I also have a 3D printer, so if someone can make a model file that I can use that would be awesome.

Here is the other thread.
I do not know the system, could something like this be used? There are others that had an offset, to raise it more, also how are they attached?

EDIT: Is this how they are assembled?

Pictures aren't going to help and my giving dimensions is not going to provide enough information.
Someone on the forum said they had 10 or so extras.

Maybe we can get him to mail a couple to our 360 poster?

I have some extras. Got them from Thor. I have the part numbers somewhere. I could maybe be talked into mailing one set if we/ya’ll are sure they are the correct ones. The spares are in the MH so I will run over tomorrow and get a set and snap a couple of pictures before mailing.

If they're not the right ones for me, they'll be the right ones for someone.
It's not about my need alone.
If we get it drawn, I'll print it for anyone.

I'm just trying to build a little community effort.
I can buy them, or we as a group can improve on them while getting to know each other a bit.

Message me for my address if you have one to mail. I will measure it and model it.

I didn’t make it to the MH yesterday. Weather is below zero and just too cold to go out. But as soon as the weather breaks a bit temperature wise I’ll get them in the mail. Still looking for the part numbers.

Received pictures from PStandiford. Cannot discern enough detail from pictures to be able to build an accurate model. Always difficult with black parts and direct lighting. Also no ruler or size reference in pictures.

Part appears to be injection molded, likely from nylon, possibly with glass fiber fill.

3-D printed parts may not have the required stiffness and strength, especially if the molded parts are glass filled.

Still willing to measure and model, if you want to send sample parts to Jeff Robertson, 2464 SE Washington Street N, Stuart, FL 34997

When you say screen clips are you referring to those small flimsy things that are supposed to hold the window screens in place? Am I assuming that correctly?

Our adult son is a design engineer with various modeling CAD software at his disposal. He also has his own personal 3D printer. I can ask him if he could create the necessary CAD file to share.

He did make us some much nicer cup holders (so our Yeti cups don't topple over) that I asked him for. He measured the existing holders, the cups, and the cutout in the MH. He'd probably prefer to have an actual clip to take his own measurements from to be sure it's all up to snuff. I'll ask if he can make a file.

PM me with your email and if he is game, I'll probably need a sample of what you want made up (unless they are the exact same as what is in our 2018 Axis 25.3.)

Most 3D printers, can print that with decent strength. I suspect the cost of the consumables for these will be in the 10-20 cents range each.

When the pieces arrive I will build the model and run off a few pieces.
