cb radio antenna install 3901

Had a through window antenna, taped on inside and out , no hole,
on drivers side. Didn't receive or transmit further than you could throw a rock...

Want to install an antenna but not thrilled about placing on top of motor home, both, looks and height issue.

Any ideas or recent installs on a class A 3901 or similar?

He didn't post often so it'll be easy to find, where he goes through placement and the 'no plain' antenna he purchased to side mount on his rv.

I used the above kit. I ran the coax up the windshield frame cover, pulled the speaker above the left side window, and installed the mount as high as I could above the speaker. Seems to work pretty well. I actually used the black kit as it looks better on our rig.
