Pix of Scissors Jack Mounting

Jamiegeek -- I received an email for someone asking about scissors jack installation. I carry four with me, but I did not mount them. As I recall, you permanently mounted them. Could you post the pix you had so he can see how you installed them?

I wouldn't recommend putting the front jacks where I did: Turns out that the frame there flexes due to the crumple zone behind the jacks and thus tightening the jacks pushes up on the whole front end...

I posted this in another posting and thought I would do the same here.
A friend suggested we weld extensions on the tow bar to mount the jacks on. We extended them by 12" each side. Had to go with flat bracket mounts over the 90 degree ones that came with the jacks. Removed the tow bar and worked on it that way more easily. Once all welded and both mounted, the tow bar was easily replaced by raising the jacks till the tow bar was in place. Easy access to the side of the vehicle which is what I needed because I cannot gain access at the back due to a motorcycle racking. Hope this helps someone else.
