Thanks! It cost five bills and took 4 weeks to strip down and paint but I'm happy! Now I'm trying to figure out how to replace the peeling fake leather on the furniture inside.

Does that color have a name, or is it custom?

I don't have the name or number of the color handy, but it is the exact same base color as the factory "HD-MAX". As a result, when the slide is out the sides are the same color as the RV body. Plus any door trims, etc. all match the repainted surfaces.

Yeah, I have the HD-MAX, and I want to touch up some places with that color, mainly the cover for the water heater, which has some rust on it. I am trying to find a paint code or color name so I can get some touch up paint in that color.

Hey, that is great that you were able to get them off without too much trouble!

For the future reference of others, I've read on another forum that I frequent, about folks doing this and running into much more difficulty. The solution, it seems, is a tool body shops use for this, made by 3m. As I understand it it's a wheel made out of some sort of eraser like rubber material. Supposedly takes them right off.

Honestly I think it was a great idea to do that. No doubt mine would be ghosted badly now.

I did have a little trouble up front. Apparently the direct sun warms up the stickers enough that they break into tiny pieces. So I lucked out on the rest. 70°F and in the shade is perfect.

Certainly an experienced hand would be required for this. I would be afraid to rub the paint off.

This thread got me thinking. I hate the graphics maybe I can adjust them a bit. I really hate, yes the font used on the words "Four Winds". I played around in Photoshop and decide I will adjust the graphics when it gets a bit warmer. Before and soon to be after photos attached.

Part of my thought process is the graphics on the eyebrow is the most exposed to sunlight. I would guess the stickers on the side would do better in the long term.

My 2017 Thor had to have almost all of the decals replaced after 7 months. Now they are peeling off again. I am thinking on taking them all off and having it painted like this.

I've been doing this for years to all my coaches,.. I hate the Easter egg look and the stickers just don't last in the vegas sun,... I just picked up a thor 29m hurricane and the build date was 12-18-18 so they will just peel right off... the longer they are on there the more they will start to ghost ...paint on the gel coat is kinda iffy , the az and nv heat will make it check then you are right back to the same spot...the sooner they come off the better... for me anyways... through the years I have heard mixed opinions..but for me I like it and it's my coach so there ...
