25.2 Owners!

We found a 2017 Axis 25.2 with 3k miles 4 hours away. While there’s a bunch of videos out there helping us know what to expect, one critical part that we can’t find is about whether the rear bedroom is usable when the slide is in. Every vid shows the unit with the slide out. 2ndly, are there any hitch-mount bike racks that will work considering the slide? Anything else to look out for with this model/year/age/mileage? Any help is VERY much appreciated. Can’t wait to join the community!
Stay safe, Ryan

Thanks Scuba, do you know if the bedroom is usable with the slide in? Does the bed become a couch? Trying to figure out if passengers can sleep/ride back there when under way.

No, you can not use the bedroom with the slide in. The mattress folds up to allow space for the slide to move all the way in.

You can easily see the folded mattress in this picture:

Thank you very much. So just to confirm, you can’t even sit back there with the slide in?

Welcome to the forum! We had a 2016 Vegas 25.2 for 5 years. Later versions made a place to set ahead of the folded bed, but still with no seat belts. So, no, not suitable to sit or ride there or on the bed when underway. Just how many adults and kids will you be traveling with?

We had many good nights and many good travels in ours. Spent many nights at Wally's concrete parking and Kracr Barls. Never had a problem extending the bedroom slide overnight.

You should be able to use a hitch mounted bike carrier, but you'll have to remove the bike(s) to put out the bed slide or access the rear storage bay. We towed a car with ours.

Thanks so much for the warm welcome! Very kind - amped to be a part of the community. Bummer about the bedroom, seems like a waste to not be able to utilize that space while under way. Our use-case is a bit of a mixed bag. My parents are going into retirement, so their adventures is primary. My wife, my son (age 6), and I would like to join on occasional weekend trips, also some talks of trips to Myrtle Beach for golf. Could you fit four guys and 4 golf bags?
Maybe another model might be a better fit, but the deal on this 25.2 is darn compelling!

Bump!
Sidenote: They're selling for $60,900 which seems like a really good deal in the hours of shopping I've done. Looking forward to hearing from y'all!
