Creative Water fill hose holder

Hi anyone create anything to screw on to water hose and attach to fresh water intake?
Want to fill without holding hose?

I use this yellow on and off which works for holding

I have EXACTLY the same fill device and the same 75ft(?)hose. The hose lives on a hand reel. It lives in my spare wheel;/tire. It's the backup/add on for my short white hose.

My fill tool lives in my water heaters outside access door which is right beside my tank fill.
I pop that door latch and there it sits.

Pics later..

Before I found out they made that device I made my own by cutting an old rubber washing machine hose. My tent trailer had a big dip in the flexible filler pipe to the tank. The long washer hose got past the dip and I no longer had back pressure issues when filling. Was easier than shortening the flexible line.

If you put a valve between the hose and the yellow fitting you can reduce the flow and pressure and not have to stand there holding everything. Your local hardware store should have one.

You can also use an adjustable water pressure regulator which everyone should have as a safety item.

That filler has a ball valve.
It's the black quarter turn handle in the picture.

Close the valve incrementally/slowly/partially until the hose will no longer jump out of the tank filler.
Much longer time to fill.
Check tires or wash windshield while tank fills.

Edit:
A later thought:
Buy a spare tank cap.
Drill it out to fit the clear hose.
Insert clear hose.
Zip tie wrapped around the clear hose on the tank side of the ccap to Keep the hose in place. Now you can screw on modified cap/filler and the overflow will spit about 10ft of water once the tank is full.

Or
New cap.
Male hose fitting adapted to it.
No fill device except the cap.
(Cw might sell these. I'm kinda memberberrying)

I have that same attachment. Works great for me! I just don't turn the tap on fully. I keep turning the tap until the hose starts to move a bit - then I back it off a little. As Ducky says, it takes a bit longer - but not that much longer - maybe a minute.

It's not rocket science, just turn down the water.

On the Axis 24.2, the fill port is adjacent to the ladder at the rear. I thread the hose through the ladder and it keeps it from backing out of the port.

The male end of a "standard" water hose will wedge just inside my gravity water fill port - no adapter needed. I have around 60# city water pressure, and the hose stays put with the tap open fully.

I get about a 2' fountain squirting back out when full... then I turn off the tap and wait until the fountain stops. At that point, I turn the tap back on low - just to be sure it's full to the brim... which it usually is.

Every gravity fill I've had on an RV is exactly that size. To help keep it there I use this on the end of the hose:

I forgot that mine has a high flow quick fitting and TWO valves(because the filler valve is built into the filler you can't gracefully remove the filler with the water on)
This allows me to turn off the hose and remove/put away the filler.
Then the hose is still pressurized and I can drag it back around to the drivers side, turn off the shore water without guessing and saving me a trip back to the passenger side. One valve stays on the hose so I can always shut the hose flow off no matter what is on the end of it.(bin is locked, I am lazy, so no hose picture)

I have everything here ready to modify the shore water inlet so it will fill my tank, but ripping out the bed is what's holding it all up(thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it)

I hate that passenger side fill and dragging thst hose around.

My Grand Design trailer was so simple and convenient. THREAD the hose onto the city water connection, then turn a handle to select "City" or "Fill". AND it was on the utility (driver) side where it should be.

Since my fresh tank is on the passenger side, even though inconvenient, it makes sense to put a gravity port on that side. But it wouldn't have been that much more to install a small locking compartment with the city water connection and a two-way valve.

To me, it's small low cost details like that which provide value, and separate the desirable coaches from average ones.

I don't have a gravity feed water fill. I hook my city water hose to the city connection and switch it to tank to fill the tank.
