Sumo Springs

Will attempt to install them today. The Gemini took a lot jolts on bad roads an construction of said roads. The springs should reduce some the jolts and bounce of the rv.

I noticed a difference on my Outlaw after installing them. We actually think there is less noise from things rattling around when we hit bumps. It also greatly helps with the jolts and porpoising effect.

Finished the install took about an 11/2 hrs. This was do the fact I had drag tools, jack and jack stands to the unit. All came out as the instructions said.Really was easy once I had all ready.

I drove my Windsport 34J for about 2 months before installing Sumo Springs. What a difference it made in the ride. I little more firm, but handling was greatly improved. Thinking of doing the Koni Shock upgrade.

You did a test drive yet? What's your impressions?

I installed the Sumo Springs on my 2018 Thor Siesta three months ago. Easy install. I used the coach hydraulic levelers and a bottle jack for safety to remove the factory bumper stops. Took off on a 5 week road trip across 13 states and they made a huge difference. Reduced side sway and the dragging going out of simple driveways. They were very easy to install. Took about an hour total time. A reasonable modification (around $300).

Which Sumo Springs?

Hi Paul. I'm looking at Amazon for the Sumo Springs for my 2018 Thor Siesta. Looks like the fronts are the SSR-106-40. Not sure about the rear. They show two "yellow" ones that are completely different. The SSR 336-54-1 and the SSR 338-54.

Do you remember which ones you used?

Thank you.

I just installed the front Sumo Springs on my 32 foot long 2017 Thor Chateau 31W.

All I can say is just do it ASAP if your Class C still has the stock suspension.

I could not believe the difference. I drove a briefly in some noticeable winds on I 25 after the install and I was surprised how well they improved the handling at high speeds.

I felt a lot more confident and I was able to confidently drive in winds that normally cause me to slow down.

In addition, the handling at low speeds such as turning corners and the reduction in side to side swaying motion as well as the porpoising was also impressive.

I was also surprised at how they improved my steering feel.

I am adding a Bilstein steering dampener next week...I can only imagine that my steering will improve even more..

Once again, I only added the front Sumo springs and the change is impressive...I am debating whether I have to do anything to the rear now.

However, I can’t really comment on how much it helps sway when big rigs or larger RVs pass yet or during consistently high winds yet...will do an update after my 5 hour plus drive to Glenwood Speings next week.

They are for the front and the rear. They replace the bump stocks with helper springs.

I only did the front and don't beed the rear. The front stops the sway especially going in or out if a driveway

Which model did you get. The one piece or two piece

Thats the sumo I have now. Started with the one piece but they separated at the glie point. Sumo gave me the choice of either model. I took the 2 piece

Come on over. I'll help you spend your money on your mh

Yes whittier

I like the 2 piece sumo better. Doesn't stop the roll as well as the 1 piece but the ride is much better. The 1 piece made the ride very rough
