Dash mounts for Phones and other electronics

I would like to mount my phone on the dash for access when driving. My dash is covered with pleather type material. I really don't want to drill any holes or do anything permanent. Will a suction mount work on this type of dash? What type of mounts/holder have you used and are happy with.

Thank you for your suggestions and Merry Christmas.

This is what I use:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Has a sticky silica gel pad base and I have it over the top of my dash - has never moved - should work for your dash as well.

Hey that’s cool! I’ve been using a RAM mount but I like this better.

Ramline makes all kinds of cellphone mounts. We had one in our Outlaw, and we're very happy with it.

Try these: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=suction+c...b_sb_ss_i_6_15

Stick the disc on the dash and then use a suction cup mount for your phone or any other accessories. Let the disc sit for 24hrs after application before using. I used these discs to mount a 9” monitor with a Ram mount, never came loose.

I use these as well & have one in my 2010 Silverado too. Have been using it for over a year now & it has never come loose even on a hot day with the ssun shinning thru the windshield. Highly recommend it.

I installed a "U" shaped angle, attaching it under the faux wood dash so no damage to the dash itself, you could mount any number of mounts to it to suit your needs, I chose to mount only an iPad mount.

Armando, did you make the mount yourself? If you purchased, where did you buy from?
I was looking at the RAM mount track bars to mount things either left or right side of driver.

A 5 inch U channel shipped piece of 22 gauge sheetmetal with a bit of felt covering for looks. Less than 5 dollars and no damage to the dash.

I also have the same question. Did you fabricate the 5" u-channel yourself? If not, whee did you buy it?

I don't want to say I don't believe it; but I don't believe it

Odd you would state only complaint about clips breaking... What I don't believe is how it is possible to not move in RV? What am I missing? Are the Sumu Springs that good

I have had two of the windshield units made for glass stick perfectly on the vertical side of my center dash and not move, but broke due to the weight of phone and vibration when driving. I an not from Missouri, but I need to see the YouTube video where the bean bag is sitting on dash going down a bumpy highway and not moving.

I need something bad and quick; because I need my Navigation from Phone closer.

Armando... when you get a chance can you get another picture or two… Of how it’s actually mounted or tucked under your dash? Thanks Bradley
Depending how it mounts… I’ll may most likely go with one of the ram mount bars that I posted the link for above… Not only can I brace them under the dash but I know you can buy ram mount tubes in different lengths so I can stagger iPad GPS and phone

Left side of dash, sticky adhesive mount. Easy to adjust, reach, read and charge. Very well constructed! Solid.
